A nice article by the guys over at the Small Arms Review, featuring photos of Over Run and Mad Minute. The article on the history of the 40mm grenade system is a good tie in with the sculptue Mad Minute which features the M79 grenade launcher.
In September, 2006, Dave donated four of his sculptures to the National Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, Virginia. He donated Jungle Patrol, Old Breed, Marine Scout and Out Flank. He is seen here making the donation to Donald Gardner, President of the Marine Corps University and retired Major General.
In November, 2006, Dave dedicated his sculpture "First Wave" to J. R. Kelley, a Marine who served in the 28th Regimen, 5th Marines, of the U. S. Marine Corps, on Iwo Jima. The forward Marine in the sculpture depicts the likeness of J. R. Kelley.
